WOMEN'S LACROSSE--Like Men's Lacrosse, only better!!! Come on out and try it for yourself--lacrosse is fun and easy to learn.
Woven's lacrosse differs from Men's (co-ed) field lacrosse in several ways. There is no contact and minimal equipment . The equipment required is a mouthguard (mandatory), cleats (optional), goggles (optional). The stick is different from that used in Men's Field and Box lacrosse because it has a shallower pocket which promotes greater stick and ball control. There are 12 players aside on the field compared to 10 (including goalie) in Men's.
A women's field lacrosse stick will be provided for all practices and games. There are a number of sticks which will be lent out to take home for a $30 deposit made payable to NSFLL.
Play will take place on Saturdays from 9:00-11:00 am at Burnside Turf Fields, starting in mid-September.
You may contact Natasha Burgess at Lacrosse Nova Scotia by email or by phone at 425-5450 ext. 370 if you have any questions.
